A Clear, Player‑First Interface for the Battlefield
One of the biggest goals of Pokémon NEON is to make battles easy to understand, fast to play, and exciting at the table. The Pokémon NEON Stat Cards are central to that goal. Each card acts as a complete snapshot of a Pokémon during battle, showing everything a Trainer needs in one clear, readable layout. There’s no need to flip through a rulebook or keep rules in your head—the Stat Card does that work for you.
Each Stat Card is designed so that important information is easy to find at a glance. From the Pokémon itself to its Attacks, weaknesses, and future evolution, everything you need during play is right in front of you. Below is a guided tour of each major section of the card and how it works during a battle, using early‑game Pokémon as clear, approachable examples.

The Pokémon
At the top‑left of every Stat Card is the Pokémon panel. This area displays the Pokémon’s name, Pokédex number, and a large, full‑color illustration. Its purpose is simple: instant recognition. When a Pokémon enters the battlefield, both players should immediately know what they’re facing, as seen on the Bulbasaur Stat Card above.
Directly beneath the artwork are the Pokémon’s type or types. Dual‑type Pokémon clearly show both types together, making it easy to understand offensive strengths and defensive weaknesses without needing an external reference.

Battle Stats
The Battle Stats section defines how a Pokémon performs moment to moment on the battlefield. These values control how much damage a Pokémon can take, how hard it hits, and how effectively it can move and avoid danger.
Health shows how much damage the Pokémon can survive, while the remaining stats influence attacking, defending, and dodging. Speed is especially important, as it affects both movement and evasiveness. All stats are intentionally kept within a tight, readable range so players can make quick decisions—even in the middle of a tense battle—as shown on the Charmander Stat Card above.
Ability
Every Pokémon in NEON has a unique Ability that helps define its battlefield role. Abilities are designed to be either always active or clearly limited, making them easy to remember and apply during play.
Some Abilities reward aggressive play, others support defensive tactics or team synergy. Together, they help each Pokémon feel distinct without adding unnecessary complexity.

Attacks
The Attacks section is the core of the Stat Card. This is where you’ll find what a Pokémon can do on its turn. Each Pokémon has a small, carefully chosen set of Attacks that reflect its typing, role, and playstyle.
Every Attack lists its type, whether it is physical, special, or status‑based, its range, and any special effects it may cause. Some Attacks apply conditions, push enemies, or affect multiple spaces. Once you learn how to read one Attack, you can read them all—the Squirtle Stat Card above is a great example of defensive and supportive options in action.

Type Matchups
Near the bottom of the card is the Type Matchups grid. This section provides a quick defensive reference, showing which types the Pokémon resists, is weak to, or takes normal damage from.
This removes the need to memorize type charts. A single glance can tell you whether an Attack is a smart play or a dangerous gamble—especially for fast, fragile attackers like Pikachu, as shown on the Pikachu Stat Card above.
Evolution
The Evolution panel shows where the Pokémon sits in its evolutionary line and whether it can still evolve. In Pokémon NEON, evolution can happen during battle and often marks a major turning point in the fight.
When a Pokémon evolves, its stats, abilities, and overall role can change dramatically. Showing this information directly on the Stat Card ensures both players understand what future power spikes may be coming.
Pokémon NEON Stat Cards are more than simple reference tools—they are the primary interface between the player and the battlefield. By keeping information clear, visual, and easy to understand, the cards allow Trainers to focus on smart positioning, tactical choices, and exciting moments. The final Stat Card set is designed to be as functional as it is striking, ready to support fast, memorable battles at the table.
